FAQs

Are 3D-printed implants as stable as conventional implants?

The material stability of implants manufactured using a titanium 3D printing procedure is comparable to the stability of conventional implants. The more efficient and tailored design allows for greater stability relative to the mass of material used.

How quickly does the implant reach the practice/clinic?

The design and 3D printing process together usually take around two weeks. With highly complex implants, this may vary. Implants can be manufactured significantly quicker in exceptional cases. Experience shows that the time it takes to agree on the design is greatly reduced with subsequent collaborations.

Is the implant delivered in sterile condition?

The implants as well as the sawing and drilling aids are professionally cleaned before shipping. Autoclaving is necessary before implantation, or before use during the operation.
